Assistant sheltered housing manager

BDS are recruiting for an Assistant Sheltered Housing Scheme Manager to be based at an extra care housing scheme for older adults in Harpenden.

You will have previous experience working in Social Housing/Supported Living. The main role is to provide daily communication with the tenants who live independently within the Sheltered Housing Scheme, report repairs and complete Health and Safety Checks as well as asses tenant’s needs and support plans on a daily basis. Working alongside the manager you will be there to assist the running running of the Scheme as a whole and will need to deliver a constant high service to tenants at all times. You will sign post information and liaise with relevant care services, families and GP’s as and when needed.

Tenants have generally quite low support needs. There are also various communal areas and tenants regularly participate in onsite social activities such as coffee mornings, bingo, trips out etc.

Working hours are 20 per week worked 9:30-13:30 over 4 days and alternate weekends. Salary in circa of £12,000
